Akshay Kumar is a well-known name in the industry. His movies are family entertainers with a message. The Khiladi Kumar has proved himself in all the genres from action to comedy to romance. Akshay is gearing up for the release of his next Raksha Bandhan and the trailer of the same was released yesterday.

The 54-year-old actor’s upcoming film Raksha Bandhan, directed by Anand L Rai will hit the theaters on August 11. The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar and there are four other actors debuting in the movie. The newcomers Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Sadia Khateeb and Smrithi Srikanth will be playing the role of Kumar's sisters in the movie, while the Bhumi will be his love interest. The movie is a perfect family entertainer describing the bond of brothers and sisters. It shows the love and sacrifice of the elder brother for his sisters. The movie showcases a brother can go to any extent from sacrificing his love and finance to seeing his sisters happy and smiling. 




The trailer is launched on YouTube and it begins with the line, ‘sometimes being a brother is even better than being a superhero. As the film is about the bonding of siblings the name of the movie ‘Raksha Bandhan’ truly justifies it. The Bachchhan Paandey actor shared the trailer on Twitter and wrote, “Jahan parivaar ka pyaar hota hai, wahan har rukaavat ka samadhaan bhi hota hai!”(Where there is love of the family, there is solution of every problem)

The movie was earlier scheduled to release on November 5, 2021, but due to Covid 19 pandemic, it was postponed. The movie will clash with superstar Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha at the box office. We wish both the films do well and entertain the audience.
